Royal St George’s Golf Club, Sandwich

Home to this weekend’s Open Championship, St George’s provides a challenging test for the best players in the world. The first English course to host The Open, St George’s has hosted the event 13 times. Harry Vardon, Walter Hagen, Sir Henry Cotton, Bobby Locke, Greg Norman and Sandy Lyle are just some of the great names who have lifted the famous claret jug at Sandwich.

Prince’s Golf Club, Sandwich

The new clubhouse, which was opened in 1985, has magnificent views overlooking Sandwich Bay. With its new improved course played in three sections of nine holes, Prince’s offers excellent championship and practice level facilities.

North Foreland Golf Club

Overlooking the Channel at charming Broadstairs, North Foreland is home to a challenging 18-hole as well as a testing par three course. Throughout this weekend, North Foreland will be hosting a Festival of Golf which will provide many exciting events and competitions appealing to enthusiasts of all levels.

Deangate Ridge

Situated on the Hoo peninsula, with breathtaking views of the Medway estuary, Deangate Ridge Golf Club is a par 71, 18-hole municipal golf course measuring 6,300 yards. It has an 11-bay driving range and is a good option for a spot of twilight golf after a hard day at the office. The Deangate Ridge Complex also has a clubhouse bar and restaurant, a 40-station fitness suite, a 200-seat stadium with a 400-metre six-lane athletics track and indoor bowls. The course was designed by F.W. Hawtree, of golf architectural firm Hawtree and Sons and was opened in 1972 by the late legendary boxer, Sir Henry Cooper.
