Attack victim loses seven teeth

TWO Kent men have been arrested after a Londoner lost seven teeth when he approached a group who had thrown an egg at him from a car.

The 28-year-old Londoner was walking along Harbour Street, Broadstairs, with his girlfriend when he was hit by the egg thrown from a red Vauxhall Corsa with a 56 registration number.

The car stopped opposite arcades in the street and five people got out and were approached by the victim asking who had thrown the egg.

He was then punched by one of the group to the side of the head and then the others also punched and kicked him. He was treated at the QEQM Hospital at Margate.

Police say the incident happened at about 4.45pm on Saturday, November 18.

The two men arrested are aged 17 and 19 and are from Margate. They were arrested on Sunday and have been released on bail pending further police inquiries.

Any witnesses to the assault are urged to contact PC Steven East, from East Kent Police, telephone 01843 222066.
