Two balaclava-clad thieves fled after threatening restaurant staff with what they believed was a gun.

Police were called to the Harvester on Rochester Road, Gravesend just after 9am today, after staff claimed they were threatened by the masked intruders.

The suspects had got in through the back of the building, while workers took in a delivery.

One threatened staff with what was thought to be a gun, and ordered the safe to be opened.

But they ran off empty-handed towards Lower Higham Road.

The men - later seen running towards Thong Lane, are said to be white, in their late teens and both wearing dark clothes and balaclavas.
