A £15,000 reward has been offered by the NatWest Bank for information leading to the arrest and conviction of armed robbers who raided their branch in Pembury High Street.

Two men went into the high street bank shortly before 11am on Tuesday. One was carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and the other a pistol and they demanded money from the staff.

They left with an undisclosed amount and drove away in a stolen green, 53 registration, Rover hatchback car.

No staff were hurt but a male customer, who had been told by the men to lie on the floor, suffered a minor ankle injury.

Both roibbers are described as white. One was about 6ft tall and wearing jeans. The other was about 5ft 5ins tall and wearing dark coloured clothing. Both wore dark coloured balaclavas.

The car used by the men was discovered a short time later abandoned in Old Church Road in the village.

Det Sgt Richard Pringle said: “We would like to received information about the car and its whereabouts before, and immediately after, the robbery."
