Big-hearted finder

Kent charities are receiving less money
Kent charities are receiving less money

Good people exist - it's official!

A panicked man called police after withdrawing £1,770 from his bank - and then losing it!

He had mislaid the cash, which was intented as rent payments, when shopping in Kings Street, Ramsgate.

But soon after reporting it to police good Samaritans returned it.

Staff at the shop where he'd earlier been found the wad of cash stuffed in an envelope and took it straight to Margate police station.

A phone call later the man was able to pay his rent once more.

Sgt. Ian Warner said: "All too often we hear about people doing wrong and we condone their actions. It is refreshing and pleasing to be able to talk about those who have been considerate, acted in kindness and done the right thing.

"I would like to thank those shop workers who made a very worried man's day."

Have you got a similar Good Samaritan tale to tell? Have you been a saviour, or has someone come to your rescue? Has anyone been extra nice to you in the snow?
