Biker suffers serious leg injuries in Tenterden crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured after his motorbike crashed into a ditch on Sunday evening.

The 44-year-old rider was trapped underneath his Kawasaki 900cc motorbike when the emergency services arrived at the scene at Appledore Road, Stone, near Tenterden, at about 6pm.

He had suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford where his condition is described as serious.

No other vehicles were present when the emergency teams arrived and the road was closed while the serious crash investigation unit examined the scene.

Police are appealing for information and anyone who can help is asked to contact the serious crash investigation unit on 01622 600967.
