Boy in serious condition after gang attack

A 15-YEAR-old boy had to undergo emergency surgery for serious head injuries after being attacked by a gang of about 20 youths in Paddock Wood.

The boy, who has not been named, was with his younger brother when they were confronted by a group of young people at the junction of Warrington Road and Forest Road at about 7pm on Monday.

Girls as well as boys, aged between 15 and 18, were among the attackers.

The injured boy is still in a serious condition in Kent and Sussex Hospital.

Police have made house-to-house inquiries in the area and have appealed for witnesses to the incident.
