A YOUTH has been charged with stabbing a teenager in Bexley.

The 16-year-old boy, from Eltham, is due to appear before Bexley magistrates today accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a 15-year-old boy near the Baptist Church in Bourne Road on Friday.

The victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for stab wounds and later allowed home.

A police spokesman said there were a number of people in the area and a number 492 bus was in Bourne Road at the time of the stabbing. Anyone with information should call 0208 2849131.
