Burglary arrest after police follow snow tracks

A man was arrested after police officers tracked footprints leading away from the scene of a burglary at a Margate pharmacy.

The alarm at the Dane Valley Pharmacy in Upper Dane Road was raised at 1.50am Monday.

Patrol officers followed footprints and arrested a 38-year-old man in St Peter's Road in the town at 2.15am.

A police spokesman said some cosmetics were recovered in nearby Millmead allotments.

The suspect has been released pending further investigation and forensic work.
