Caravan destroyed in blaze in Sittingbourne

Firefighters spent two hours tackling a caravan blaze in Sittingbourne.

Crews were called to Tong Road in Murston at 11.15pm last night (Saturday) and were on the scene until 1.30am this morning.

Two fire engines and officers from Kent Police attended.

The fire crews extinguished the caravan fire and dealt with a nearby acetylene cylinder that needed to be cooled.

The caravan was destroyed by the blaze. The cause is not known.
