Carole wins computer in KM's website competition

HOUSEWIFE Carole Rivers has won a computer in a super competition organised by the Kent Messenger Group's New Media department.

Mrs Rivers had to answer three questions, plus a tie-breaker, about Kent Online, the KM Group's website.

The prize, a Samsung VM8000 Series Notebook, was donated by Alpha Computer Systems (01227 472555, www.alphagroup.co.uk) and Samsung.

Mrs Rivers, 52, of Rochester Crescent, Hoo, near Strood, has been using the KM Group's website for the past 15 months. "I find it easy to use and highly informative," she said. "It's never ever dull."

She added: "I have won two minor prizes in website competitions before, but nothing like this. It's marvellous."

The computer was presented to Mrs Rivers at the KM Group's Larkfield head office by Gavin de Carle, associate director in charge of New Media. The presentation ceremony was also attended by Mervyn Marles, New Media editor, and Ben Hall, the web development manager.
