A cat who travelled from Essex to Dungeness in a sealed skip was found tired and hungry by power station staff.

The cat, named Tilly, is now being cared for by Tenterden Cats’ Protection.

The group also has 14 other kittens waiting for homes.

A spokesman for TCP said: “She came all the way from Essex and she was very emaciated. She is black and only very young.

“It was a sealed skip but it might have been open in Essex and she had obviously been in there a while or had been a stray. She was so thin.”
