CCTV could hold clues to murder

CCTV footage is being studied by officers investigating the murder of 51-year-old father Danny King.

Mr King was shot four times at his home in Ditton in the early hours of Friday, October 17.

Officers working in an incident room set up after the murder are reviewing CCTV footage from the area which they believe holds vital information.

Senior investigating officer Det Ch Insp, Jon Bumpus, said: "I believe the CCTV footage we have from the area is of great importance and holds significant information."

Kent Police also spoke to more than 250 motorists last Thursday during road checks held almost one-week after Mr King died.

Leaflets were distributed by motorists and members of the public in Medina Road and New Road, appealing for information.

A police spokesman said detectives were keeping an open mind as to the motive behind Mr King’s murder.
