A classic Ford Mustang muscle car has been nicked - while its owner was walking his dog.

Police in Medway are now hunting for the distinctive brown motor which was stolen in Gillingham.

The Mustang was taken from the car park at Motney Hill on May 11, some time between 3.30pm and 4pm.

PC Grainne Farrell said: "The car was very rare and it is not thought that there is likely to be another one like it in the area.

"The owner is obviously very keen to get it back as it was in pristine condition and was of great sentimental value to him.

"We would be keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the car being taken away, or has any information about its whereabouts now."

Anyone with information should contact Kent Police in 01622 690 690 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
