College suspends finance chief

HADLOW College, near Tonbridge, has suspended its director of finance, Paul Hodson, ahead of an internal investigation.

Mr Hodson has been in the post since January 2001. In a statement the college said: “Paul Hodson has been suspended by the college with immediate effect.

“Disciplinary proceedings are being taken against Mr Hodson and the results of a thorough investigation will be considered by the Corporation, Hadlow College's governing body.

“No further comment on this matter will be made by the college while disciplinary proceedings are in hand.”

Mark Lumsdon-Taylor, head of finance, IT and registry, will take over as acting director of finance at Hadlow College.

It is not known how long the investigation will last.
