Concern grows for missing man

POLICE are appealing for help in finding a man who went missing from a hospital.

Vince Newell, 39, is described as 5ft 9in with short brown hair and a dragon tattoo on his arm. He normally wears a black jacket with an orange lining and blue jeans.

He lives in Trotscliffe, West Malling, Maidstone, and was last seen at the Pembury Hospital near Tunbridge Wells on the afternoon of Friday, June 3.

Mr Newell's family and the police are concerned for his welfare as he has not been in contact since then.

Insp Rob Chitham, of West Kent Police, said: "If anyone knows Mr Newell’s whereabouts we would be very pleased to hear from them.

"Or indeed if Mr Newell himself hears of this appeal we would ask him to contact either police or a member of his family so that we can be reassured that he is safe and well."

Anyone with information is asked to contact West Kent Police on 01732 370732 or call their local police station.
