A MOTORCYCLIST who died in a crash in Rainham on Tuesday night has been named as 19-year-old Howard Barnes, of Shakespeare Road, Gillingham.

His bike was in collision with a Ford Mondeo at the junction of London Road and Pump Lane at about 6.45pm.

He was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital at Gillingham but was pronounced dead on arrival despite attempts by paramedics to save him.
