DETECTIVES have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to about a violent robbery in which a woman cashier was threatened at knife-point.

The 32-year-old victim was opening the booking office at Kent House train station, Beckenham, when she was tackled to the ground by two men.

One of the robbers held a knife to her throat while the other punched her in the face before they fled with several cash boxes.

The armed hold-up happened in the early hours of November 15 last year.

British Transport Police say they are following a number of leads but would like to speak to the man, wearing dark clothing and a high-vis jacket in this CCTV image.

PC Oliver Gilbert of the robbery squad said: “The incident was extremely traumatising for the member of staff, who although has managed to resume work is still understandably affected by her ordeal.”

If you are the man in the CCTV image or know who he is, phone police on 0800 40 50 40 or the witness appeal line on 020 7391 5275, quoting B9 of 04.02.08.
