This was the scene in Swalecliffe at lunchtime yesterday when a double-decker bus hit the railway bridge in Herne Bay Road. No-one was hurt.
The bus was being used as a rail replacement service and had just one passenger on board when the driver hit the bridge.
He was unfamiliar with the area, having never driven there before.
