Driver caught doing almost 100 miles per hour on M2

A driver has been pulled over by police after being caught travelling at almost 100 miles per hour on the M2.

The motorist is the third in two days to be stopped after being spotted reaching such speeds on the motorway.

Officers described his driving as 'terrible' and said he was also undertaking and being a danger to other road users in very heavy rain.

It comes just hours after a driver was arrested near the Stockbury roundabout on suspicion of drink driving after being clocked doing 110mph and swerving across lanes of the nearby motorway.

A 22-year-old man from London is in custody.

On Friday night officers were shocked to find a baby in a car that was stopped for doing 100mph.
