A WALL and railings at Chatham House Grammar School, Ramsgate, were demolished early today by a car that failed to stop.

The white BMW is thought to have crashed into the school, leaving a pile of bricks and steel shortly after 1am.

Police say that three parked cars are believed to have been struck by the same vehicle in Winstanley Crescent in the town, before the suspected driver was stopped in Margate Road.

A 57-year-old man from Ramsgate was helping police with their inquiries.
