Drunken joyriders film themselves for You Tube

Two men have been cautioned after they stole a cherry picker and drove it through parts of Medway on a drunken joyride They were even brazen enough to post their antics on video-hosting website, YouTube.

The duo, aged 21 and 33, who have not been named recorded the video on a mobile phone, which shows them shouting and swearing at each other and boasting of going through a red light in Strood High Street.

A police spokesman confirmed the men were arrested at 5am on Sunday, August 17, and cautioned for taking the vehicle without the owner’s consent.

Chief Insp Des Keers said: "When offences such as these are filmed, published on the internet and reported to us, we will investigate them. On occasions this has provided us with the evidence we need to report people to the courts for their actions.

"Kent Police will not hesitate to deal with anyone found to be acting anti-socially, driving dangerously or putting themselves and others at risk."
