E-fit of thug who robbed pensioner at knife-point

DETECTIVES have released an e-fit image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an incident in which a 78-year-old man was robbed at knife-point.

The victim parked his car behind his home in Hertford Street, Ramsgate, at about 6.55pm on Tuesday, October 24.

He crossed the road but and then decied to return to his car. As turned round a man holding a knife in his hand confronted him and demanded cash.

He handed over the coins in his pocket, which totalled about £5, but the robber demanded notes.

The victim said he didn’t have any and began shouting at him to go away. The robber raised his hand above his head but the victim knocked his arm away. At this point the thug ran off towards Queens Street.

The robber is described as white, in his early to mid 30s, about 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, with stubble on his face. He was wearing a short blue coat with a hood, which was pulled up tight around his face, and white trainers.
