Housebuilder Pentland Homes is launching a development of 25 elegant new homes in a countryside setting.

The development, Kingfisher Place, in Shalmesford Street, Chartham, near Canterbury, is launched this weekend. The site was previously farmland and benefits from beautiful rural surroundings, complete with a vast fishing lake to the rear.

The scheme includes two, three, four and five-bedroom homes with external characteristics to suit their traditional heritage, including oast-style features and farm-style properties with black and white weatherboard.

The properties vary in size and layout, but all benefit from fitted kitchens with a range of appliances, fitted bathrooms with white sanitaryware and underfloor heating to the ground floor.

Janet Burnell, sales and marketing director at Pentland Homes, says: “Kingfisher Place is a lovely site and we are building a real mix of properties to suit families of all sizes. The development combines the benefits of a real village location, but is also within easy reach of Canterbury, and Ashford.”

Kingfisher Place is surrounded by the Kent Downs countryside in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty.

The village has a local school and nearby shops.

The sales office opens on Saturday, October 20, when the first phase of homes will be released, with prices ranging from £249,500 to £472,000. The sales office will be open five days per week – Thursday to Sunday from 9.30am to 4pm, and on Monday from 9.30am to 2.30pm.
