All roads have been re-opened following the huge blaze at a barn on Romney Marsh on Friday afternoon.

Around 40 fire-fighters using six pumps were called to deal with the fire at Romney Road, Lydd. The alarm was raised at 2.50pm.

The six fire engines were joined by a water unit and a compressed air foam unit. Crews also used two main jets to quell the flames on the 25 by 50 metre barn.

Roads in the area were closed and diversions were set up. The roads were re-opened just before 8am on Saturday.
