A CRASH involving a lorry and a car towing a caravan caused rush-hour misery for Kent motorists.

The accident happened at around 3.15pm on Wednesday on the coastbound carriageway of the M20 between junctions 2 and 3, near Wrotham.

The foreign-registered lorry overturned and spilt the engine parts it was carrying onto the hard shoulder and across the inside lane.

At the start of the rush-hour, traffic was backed up as far as Swanley.
