Four awards for KM Group

The Kent Messenger Group came away with four top trophies at a glittering regional

press awards ceremony on Tuesday.

The group won a special achievement award for the best newspaper sales

performance over a three year period.

The Kent Messenger newspaper won the award for Weekly Newspaper with a circulation of over 25,000. It also won Best Selling Newspaper.

It was judged to be the Community Newspaper of the Year for its Maidstone Millennium River Walk fund raising campaign. The Careers Fair set up by the Kent Messenger received a commendation in the category Events Organised by a Weekly Newspaper.

The awards were presented at the Newspaper Society's Sales and Promotions

Awards in Bristol. The society represents about 1,300 daily, weekly and free

newspapers in the UK.
