Four held over cash point thefts

FOUR people have been questioned by police on suspicion of carrying out eight thefts from Kent cash points.

The four - two males and two females - were stopped by police after bank staff reported suspicious activity outside a building society in Chatham High Street.

The people arrested were two boys, aged 16 and 17, a 20-year-old woman and a 15-year-old girl. They have all been bailed pending further investigation.

Police say officers also seized £300 and a suspected stolen bankcard.

The other seven thefts that the group were arrested in connection with took place at various locations in the Medway area.

The arrests were made on Thursday, December 7.
