Get your running shoes on!

Runners at last year's 10k run

IT’S almost time to get those running shoes on as the Bluewater 10k run fast approaches.

With just days to go until starters orders, runners should sign up quick to get a place in the annual event.

So fill out the form for the SheRunsHeRuns Bluewater 10k run and raise a little money and awareness for a chosen charity.

Just by signing up you’ll be adding £1 to the charity pot, to be divided between DGS Mencap, Demelza Children’s Hospice Services and The Aspinall Foundation.

The run attracted 2,000 runners last year with more than 2,500 spectators lining the route.

This year organisers are hoping for more than 4,000 runners to take part.

You’ve no excuse, even age isn’t an issue - last year a 78 year old ran in the 10 kilometre fun run.

If you’re younger than 15 or feel 10 kilometres could be a few (hundred!) steps too far, you can join in the Kent Messenger sponsored Messenger 2k Challenge Run, open to all ages.

The race starts and finishes in Bluewater Shopping Centre, and will take in Greenhithe, Stone, and panoramic views of the QEII Bridge during the route.

All runners will be awarded a medal, goodie bag and an Adidas running T-shirt while the winning male and winning female from the 10k races will each win £750 including £250 in SheRunsHeRuns vouchers.

To enter, simply fill out the entry form on this page.

As well as automatically donating £1 to the organiser’s charities you can also tick one of the donation boxes which will see additional money given to the event’s official charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Alternatively apply for a Marie Curie Cancer Care fund-raising pack by ticking the box on the right hand side of the form.
