Gillingham will be sending a young team down to Whitstable on Tuesday night to compete in the inaugural KRBS Cup.

Major injury problems throughout pre-season mean that Gillingham manager Mark Stimson (pictured) will not be risking any of his senior pros for the game at The Belmont.

Players from Mark Patterson’s youth team squad will make up the majority of the team and there could also be room for one or two trialists.

Both teams are sponsored by Kent Reliance Building Society and a trophy will be presented to the winning team at the end of the match.

The game kicks off at 7.30pm.
