Gillingham ended November on a low note but fans can now vote for who they thought made the biggest contribution over the last month.

Matt Lawrence scooped the October accolade but now KM Group readers can decide who deserves to be named Gillingham player-of-the-month for November.

We’ve picked a selection for you to choose from. The shortlist consists of;

MARK BENTLEY

Before Gillingham’s defence imploded at Accrington, there was a blistering performance from Mark Bentley, as he headed home one and smashed in another goal. Two weeks later Bentley again put in a decent performance at Port Vale, arguably Gills’ best showing of the month, and only the post denied him from scoring the winner at Vale Park.

KEVIN MAHER

The experienced midfielder was brought back into the Gillingham team following the debacle at Accrington and he helped steady the ship and he turned in good performances, helping the Gills to victory over Stockport at Priestfield and a creditable draw at then League 2 leaders Port Vale.

CODY McDONALD

While Gillingham’s form remains inconsistent the on-loan Norwich man remains in good form in front of goal. He netted in three of his four outings during the month, including a cracking goal against Accrington that will be up there with the best. A volley against Torquay was another classy finish.

CHRIS PALMER

After a run of seven games without a goal he came back with a bang at Northampton with an early striker. A well-worked free-kick routine saw Palmer net low from 20 yards. He continues to worry opponents with his eye for goal and is one of the club’s better crosses of the ball.

JACK PAYNE

It’s been another good month for the youngster as he continues to cement his place in the heart of the Gillingham midfield. So often he is back helping out in defence and his passion can’t be faulted.

TONY SINCLAIR

Returned to the side at the expense of Josh Gowling following the 7-4 defeat at Accrington and has developed a good understanding with Matt Lawrence. Until Saturday the pair had not lost a game while playing alongside each other in central defence.
