Gillingham are hoping to make use of Tottenham Hotspur’s world class indoor training facilities after being frozen out of their own venue.

The cold weather has made the fields at Beechings Cross unplayable since Monday and Gills boss Mark Stimson (pictured) is hoping Spurs can come to the rescue.

Gillingham’s pitch at Priestfield is also unavailable as it is currently under covers as protection from the frost and snow.

The Gills used the Spurs Lodge venue in Enfield last year and Stimson is keen to make a repeat visit.

Stimson said: "Their facilities are incredible and there is a full size pitch in the dome. We need to keep the players ticking over and it will be nice if we can get out there and do something."

The Gills are looking for volunteers to help clear snow from the Priestfield pitch from 9am on Thursday.
