Steven Gregory won’t be having any sentimental thoughts when he lines up against his former team-mates this weekend.

Two years ago he played a key role in helping AFC Wimbledon gain Football League status but this weekend he could help to put a major dent in their survival hopes.

Gregory (pictured) has had two spells with the Dons, once in non-league as the club made its rapid ascent and more recently with a loan stint during the first half of this season.

He said: "I will be saying hello to the (Wimbledon) boys before kick-off but once that game starts, it will be business as usual.

"It is a massive game for both of us. We are trying to be champions and they are trying to stay up. It will be interesting and nice to see a few faces as well and I am looking forward to it.

"I look back with fond memories from my time there but you can’t dwell in the past.

"We have got promoted here and are trying to be champions. Hopefully, we can do that on Saturday."
