Goalkeeper Lance Cronin will complete his move to Gillingham on Monday.

The former Ebbsfleet keeper played the final minutes of Saturday’s friendly at Stonebridge Road and will now head to Priestfield to challenge Alan Julian for the number one shirt.

"We gave Lance the chance to say goodbye to the (Ebbsfleet) fans because he is leaving and it was nice for him," said Gills boss Hessenthaler. "He is obviously well thought of at the club."

Cronin (pictured) has been part of the England C set-up since 2006 after making a move into non-league at Ebbsfleet. He played nearly 200 games for the Fleet, including an FA Trophy winning appearance.

He follows Stefan Payne, Andrew White, Danny Spiller, Tony Sinclair and Cody McDonald into the club this pre-season.
