Danny Kedwell looks set to hold on to the captain’s armband under Martin Allen.

But the Gillingham manager has warned the in-form striker (pictured) that any lack of form will see him dropped and the captaincy changed.

Allen is determined to see that nobody in his side gets complacent.

And he said: “Kedwell has been captain and we’ve kept winning so he will keep it.

“If he plays Saturday, he will have it and if he doesn’t play, then someone else will have it.

“They are nearly all captains from what I can see. They all can play a captain’s type role for our team.

“They have been taking responsibility. I am sure Kedwell will play, though because he is on fire, isn’t he?”
