A suspected illegal immigrant is being questioned by border police after entering Kent clinging to a Eurostar train.

The train reaches speeds of 186 miles an hour after coming into the county.

National newspaper reports say it is thought the man jumped onto the train at Calais as it slowed to enter the Channel Tunnel.

British Transport Police confirmed officers arrested the man just after 7pm Thursday at Ebbsfleet International after being called out by station staff.

He was handed over to the UK Border Agency for questioning.

The man is thought to be around 20-years-old and of Indian origin.
