Invicta Dynamos suffered their second away defeat of the season at the hands of Cardiff Devils on Saturday.

Beaten 6-3 by the Devils in Cardiff in January, Invicta again found the Welsh side too hot to handle on their home ice as they slid to another 6-3 defeat at the weekend.

Missing the injured Nolan Boike and Ryan Giles, Dynamos trailed 1-0 at the end of the first period to a Gareth Dixon goal.

Dixon made it 2-0 early in the second period but then Invicta hit back with goals by Elliot Andrews and Peter Vaisanen. However, Luke Piggott and Tim Burrows then restored Cardiff's two-goal lead before the end of the period.

Andy Smith raised Invicta's hopes again with a goal 12 minutes from time, but Cardiff had the last word with two goals from Steve Fisher and Dynamos' miserable night was made complete when Mark Williams earned a match penalty for fighting.
