Welling United manager Jamie Day has lifted the lid on his post-match bust-up with Farnborough boss Steve King on Saturday.

The pair clashed at the final whistle on Saturday, with Day claiming that King was complaining as he believed that Andy Pugh was offside for Welling's goal.

"I've got no enemies," said Day (pictured). "I went to shake his hand but he was moaning about the goal being offside.

"There are loads of decisions that happen throughout the season and you have to get on with it.

"There's no point sulking and being a baby about it. They've lost 1-0 but they might go on and win the league, they are a decent side, so I think he could have dealt with it better than he did."

The Farnborough victory means that Welling have gone through six games against teams in the play-off mix unbeaten since the middle of March.

Day added: "I knew it was going to be tough so I am a little surpirsed. I thought we might have lost one or two on the way.

"But we've not lost one in the last 13 and we need to keep that going and get it up to one defeat in 17.

"Farnborough are a good side but we were comfortable and had enough chances. We defended reasonably well and I don't think John Whitehouse had many saves to make."
