Kent's silliest tattoos

Britain's finest works of body art will be on display today as the Kent Tattoo Convention kicks off.

Yet despite the many examples of creative genius that will be on show in Dreamland in Margate, there are always some left wishing they had stopped to think before they inked.

Billy the Quid

Lee Carroll, of Chatham, has “Got A Pand?" scribed across the back of his left thigh next to the controversial beaming face of Sukhvender Singh Deo, known as Billy the Quid, for his past begging exploits in Medway.

The father-of-three wanted something original, so he decided to get Billy’s mugshot permanently drawn on by Connor Armstrong, from Moogs Tattoos in Mr Green’s Barbers in The Delce, Rochester.

Lewis Farnham, who worked at Red Eagle Recruitment in Folkestone, said: "We have a great team spirit and regularly dream up of crazy challenges in the office - I’ll be reminded of this one everyday.”
