Two women from Kent have won cash and goods worth more than £40,000 in ITV game shows.

First, a lucky guess netted Simone Tomlins a haul of prizes worth more than £20,000 on ITV's Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.

She is now the proud owner of a stash of goodies including two cars, holidays to Hong Kong and Rio de Janeiro, £1,000 in cash, a weekend in Dublin, a designer sofa, and a camcorder.

Then bride-to-be Fiona Benbow scooped £21,000 in ITV's Golden Balls on Tuesday but put paying her fiance’s credit card bills before having a Champagne wedding celebration

Mrs Tomlins, 29, from Halling, had to answer a series of general knowledge questions, bagging a prize for each correct answer. She then chose to gamble her eight prizes and won 20 more.

"It is a nice amount of things to win," said mother-of-two Mrs Tomlins, who works as a cashier at Asda in Kings Hill. "I am as skint as the next person and this will really help."

Fiona Benbow knotched up her hat-trick of TV game show appearances when she picked up the Golden Balls cash from show host Jasper Carrot.

Fiona, 30, from Ash, won Wipeout, with Bob Monkhouse, and reached the third round of The Weakest Link, with Anne Robinson. She is already on a list for Chris Tarrant’s latest show, due to start filming later this year.

Fiona and fiance Elliot plan to marry in Goodnestone this summer. "We got engaged in Venice a week before filming the show so it capped an amazing time for me," she said.
