Lovell after improvement

ASHFORD Town travel to newly-promoted Crowborough Athletic tonight, with manager Steve Lovell looking for an improved display after their disappointing opening day draw with Walton Casuals.

"The game is all about us, if we're on our game then we won't have a problem," Lovell admitted.

"We didn't play well on Saturday, but I put that down to opening day blues."

Town will be without the services of striker Mark Lovell and full back Danny Brathwaite due to injury.

The manager's son is having a scan today after he was stretched off on Saturday, and is expected to be out for some time. Bradley Spice will replace him and Charlie Glyde will fill in for Brathwaite, who has a slight groin strain.
