Did you seen anything curious in the skies last night?

No, we don't mean UFOs or little green men from Mars, the moon provided its own other-worldly entertainment over Tonbridge.

As pictured above, the moon wore a halo, which gave a ghostly glow to the evening.

Apparently, a halo is caused when cirrius clouds are at 20,000ft or more above the earth's surface.

The clouds contain ice crystals which reflect the light causing the halo effect.
