A section of the M20 will be limited to one lane overnight on Tuesday and Wednesday to allow the Highways Agency to make repairs to the road surface.

The London-bound stretch between junctions 8 and 7, Leeds and Maidstone, will be partly closed between 8pm and 5am.

The hard shoulder, inside and middle lane will be closed for repairs to damage caused by the cold weather.

Traffic will be able to pass along the outside lane but there will be a speed restriction in place.

Police say that the work will continue on Wednesday between 8pm and 5am. During that time, the middle and outside lane will be closed and drivers will be able to use the inside lane.

The work is due to be completed by Thursday morning, weather permitting.
