Maidstone United will not play their home matches at Sittingbourne next season - but their new home is being kept underwraps.

The Stones have called time on their eight seasons of groundsharing at Bourne Park.

Stones chairman Paul Bowden-Brown said: "Everybody at Maidstone United owes an incredible amount of gratitude to Andy Spice (Sittingbourne chairman) and his staff for their help and support over the past eight seasons.

"After promotion to the Kent League it was Sittingbourne FC that came forward to help the club in our hour of need - to provide us with the facilities we needed to play at a senior level of football again.

"It is only right that everybody at Sittingbourne FC who has assisted with both their own club and our fortunes over the period of this agreement receives a resounding vote of thanks for their efforts and contribution in assisting with the renaissance of Maidstone United."

Mr Bowden-Brown has admitted he has held talks with Ashford Town about a move to Homelands while speculation also exists about possible moves to Ebbsfleet and Tonbridge.
