Man, 23, cut from wreckage after car ploughs through fence in Minster

A man has been cut free from his car after it went through a fence and ended up in a field on the Isle of Sheppey this morning.

Police were called to the crash at 7.50am by South Lees Cottages, Lower Road, Minster, just before the Scocles Road junction.

They arrived to find the driver trapped in his purple BMW coupe.

A Kent Fire and Rescue Service crew arrived at just after 8am and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the motorist.

The 23-year-old, who was complaining of neck and back pain, was treated by paramedics at the scene.

There were no road closures and covers have been put over the car. No other vehicles were involved.
