Man charged in connection with girl's death

A 21-year-old man has been charged with drugs offences by officers investigating the death of a Bromley girl.

Daniel McGinty is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court this Wednesday accused of supplying controlled drugs and intent to supply class A drugs.

He was charged by officers investigating the death of 18-year-old Carla Deary, of Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley, last year.

A spokesman for Croydon police said the investigation was now complete and that two other males arrested in connection with the investigation had been released without charge.

Carla, who had turned down a modelling contract with the same agency that represented murder victim Sally Anne Bowman, died at the Mayday Hospital in Croydon after suffering a suspected drugs overdose in Handcroft Road, Croydon, on September 24 last year.
