A MAN charged with attempted murder following a shooting incident appeared in crown court on Friday.

Tim Williams, 49, is charged with the attempted murder of Luke Deards at Stargate Marina in Vicarage Lane, Hoo, on August 25.

Williams, of Stargate Marina, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court via a video link from Elmley Prison, Sheppey.

He spoke to confirm his name and his understanding of the court proceedings.

The court heard he intends to plead not guilty at his next hearing on November 11.

He was remanded in custody.
