A man working at St Regis Paper Mill, Kemsley, has died.

The 57-year-old contractor was found at about midday yesterday (Thursday).

Police confirmed the death, and said it is not suspicious.

The Health and Safety Executive and coroner have been notified.

At this time no further details of the deceased are being released.

Yvonne Davidson, operation support director at the mill, said: "One of the contractors working for us during the rebuild died yesterday.

"We had the emergency services here investigating.

"It was concluded at the time that he died of natural causes."
