Man has head injuries after attack in Folkestone

Police sealed off a section of Folkestone after a man suffered serious head injuries in an attack.

A 63-year-old was afterwards arrested.

Police believe the assault on the 43-year-old happened in the on the Kingsnorth Gardens area of Folkestone at about 5am today.

He was taken hospital.

The older man was arrested in connection with the incident and was taken into police custody.

Today police sealed off the area as they searched for clues.

Eyewitnesses said all entrances to the 3.2 acre public gardens were being guarded by officers.

One witness said: “The nearby garden centre in Jointon Road has also been closed by police as part of the investigation.”
