Man in hospital after repeated stabbing

Detectives are investigating after a man was stabbed three times in Broadstairs High Street on Saturday.

The 38-year-old was assaulted at around 1am during a night out in the town.

The victim was taken to the QEQM hospital in Margate for treatment and, although his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, he will need surgery.

Kent Police believe the attack followed an incident in the Charles Dickens pub on the seafront earlier in the evening.

The man was stabbed at the junction of the High Street and Queens Road. His attacker was described as being in his 40s, of a stocky build and wearing a suit.

The suspect was last seen getting into a car, possibly a taxi, in Oscar Road.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact DC James Robinson at Margate police station on 01843 231055 on Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
